I’m so excited – I love getting together with these fellow writers!!!
We are a great support group for each other – chatting about everything writing – technique, writer’s block, editing, publishers, agents, etc. Sometimes we even read some of our writing out loud to get feedback, especially when we’re struggling with the words our fingers have insisted on putting “on paper”.
Writing is a very solitary endeavor so tonight’s topic is going to be awesome! I e-mailed the group early last week so they could come prepared. The topic?? How does the internet help with your writing?? Not from a research perspective, but from a support or informational perspective. I’m hoping people bring lots of sites they use so I can add them to my resource list of authors/publishers/agents I follow on Twitter (& read their blogs), the on-line writing group I belong to as well websites I visit. And I hope the information I share with my fellow writers will be helpful to them as well!
Now it’s time for me to fly because I have to clean the house before heading to work. Scarpetto made quite the mess while I was gone. Okay…so it’s really more like I left quite the mess behind as I raced through the last couple days before flying to Houston.
No matter the cause, there needs to be no evidence of it when the writers arrive, lest it becomes fodder for a story!!!
